Wood Fire - Grapefruit - Eucalyptus Leaves
The Mapoch scented candle bears the name of an ambitious Ndebele chief who refused to kowtow to Dutch farmers. The very geometric designs of the hand-crocheted raffia are inspired by the contemporary Ndebele art movement. Stripes, arrows, and rectangles in primary colours are woven into the material requiring supreme dexterity on the part of the Malagasy women artisans.
Its mysterious, woody perfume is reminiscent of the farthest reaches of the African Savanna.
Always burn your candle until the whole surface becomes liquid. This step may take a long time, especially during the first burning. When the entire top of the wax is liquid, do not burn it longer than one hour. The top layer of liquid wax should never exceed one centimeter in height. Never burn your candle more than the maximum burning time indicated in the candle’s instructions. Never burn it down totally and systematically leave one centimeter at the bottom.
